This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence technologies in the education system. The article highlights the main areas of AI application in the educational process – personalized (adaptive) learning, intelligent tutoring systems, assessment and monitoring systems, as well as language teaching tools. Based on international and local research findings, the impact of AI tools on educational effectiveness is analyzed. According to meta-analysis results, the overall effect size of artificial intelligence tools is Hedges' g = 0.86, which indicates a high level of positive impact. The article also examines technological, pedagogical, ethical, and systemic challenges associated with implementing AI in education, as well as the importance of the human factor (the teacher). In the conclusion, the synergy of artificial intelligence and the teacher is proposed as an optimal solution, and future research directions are outlined.References
