STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS OF ADOLESCENT DEVIANT BEHAVIOR: THE EXPERIENCE OF UZBEKISTAN AND POLAND

This article analyzes students’ perceptions of adolescent deviant behavior based on the experiences of Uzbekistan and Poland. The study explores the theoretical foundations of deviance and highlights how students’ views shape social evaluations and stereotypes of adolescents’ behavior. Comparative analysis shows that in Uzbekistan, students tend to associate deviance with family upbringing and the mahalla institution, while in Poland, the school system and social services play a leading role.
