Abstract

This article examines the role of project-based learning in developing professional English communication skills among students of information technology. In modern higher education, IT students are expected not only to master technical knowledge but also to communicate their ideas clearly, work in teams, present project outcomes, and explain digital solutions in English. Project-based learning provides students with opportunities to use English in meaningful and professionally relevant contexts. The article discusses how English lessons based on project work can improve students’ speaking fluency, professional vocabulary, teamwork, presentation skills, and confidence. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study explores the pedagogical value of integrating project-based activities into English for Specific Purposes classes. The article concludes that project-based learning can make English instruction more practical, motivating, and connected to the future professional needs of IT students.
